- ENVIRONMENTAL HISTORY / MODERN U.S.
Advisor: Professor Sutter • Hannah is a third-year PhD student focused on 20th century U.S. environmental history, with a specific interest in the back-to-the-land and ecofeminist movements. More narrowly, she is interested in how ideas of utopia influenced radical environmental action and ideology from the 1960s to 1990s. Hannah graduated with honors in 2022 from The George Washington University with majors in American Studies and Women’s Studies, and minors in History and Music. She is a Massachusetts native, a (now former) sailor, and an avid cyclist.
