The 2021 Holiday Schedule is available on the Human Resources website. Staff will have the March 26 Spring holiday available to them.
2021 Holiday Days
- Jan. 1 - New Year’s Day
- Jan. 18 - Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
- March 26 - Spring Holiday
- May 31 - Memorial Day
- July 5 - Independence Day (Observed)
- Sept. 6 - Labor Day
- Nov. 25 - Thanksgiving
- Nov. 26 - Day After Thanksgiving
- Dec. 24 - Christmas Eve
- Dec. 27 - Christmas Day (Observed)
Reminder
On Dec. 17, 2020, Governor Jared Polis granted a governor’s holiday, closing state offices on Dec. 24, 2020. CU Boulder has already recognized the 24th as a holiday, and many CU Boulder departments are granting additional leave in recognition for the extraordinary efforts of our faculty and staff this past year which aligns with the goal of the Governors additional holiday. Departments that have not granted additional leave have the discretion to grant the additional holiday day during the week of December 28-31.
As is the case with any holiday, some employees may be required to work to support campus operations, student services, teaching or research. Departments and supervisors should determine which staff will work on the holiday day.
Employees required to work on a holiday day may take the holiday on another date that is mutually acceptable to the employee and supervisor.
