Collaborative Work with ICS

I was on the PhD committee for Srinjita Bhaduri, and Tammy Sumner was on my student Clement Zheng's PhD committee. Currently, my student Torin Hopkins, Sasha Novack, and Darren Sholes are collaborating with Leanne Hirshfield's SHINE Lab.

I am also excited to get more involved with ICS as well since I did Cog Sci as my minor during my PhD, and has served as Design Cognition advisor for the PhD program in the College of Architecture (renamed as College of Design a couple years ago) at Georgia Tech for 11 years.

Bio and Research Interests

I am working in the intersection of people, design and technology, creativity and design cognition, including creativity support tools and design studies, tangible and embedded interaction and, most recently, computing for health and wellness.

I worked with Emory Azheimer's Disease Research Center on automating/gamifying tests such as digital trail maker, memory test and the Clock Drawing Test for the Alzheimer's DIseases and Related Disorder detection in the ClockMe system supported in part by a NSF Smart and Connected Health grant, and one of my PhD students won the First Place for Student Research Competition at CHI 2012 for the integrative approach and as her advisor I was invited to the ACM annual gala where they give out Turing Award and other awards.
