iSAT professional research assistant Emily Watts focuses on the collaborative group efforts of students and teachers to create equitable learning environments through the help of AI. Emily is a part of the data collection team, where she collects data through recording and documenting class interactions as they occur. She also serves as iSAT’s Outreach Coordinator, where she mostly plans for the Internship Program and community outreach events. She is currently interested in the field of Cognitive Psychology with hopes of continuing her education through a graduate program in the future. Before joining the University of Colorado and iSAT, Emily graduated with a B.S. in Psychology at Texas Christian University and worked as a research assistant for Harris College of Nursing and Health Sciences focusing on the laryngeal functioning of Parkinson’s Disease. 

When she is not doing research, Emily typically enjoys going on hikes around Boulder with her dog, Honey, trying new restaurants, and exploring new places. Emily greatly enjoys being a part of the University of Colorado, the Institute of Cognitive Science, and the iSAT team!
