Earth Lab is hosting a 2-day hands-on workshop to build a community of problem solvers to explore new data and analytics that can help us to better understand, predict, and adapt to extreme events. Extreme environmental events like wildfire, floods and drought pose an increasing threat to our health and safety, our economy, and our homes and businesses. Earth Lab Environmental Extremes CodeFest Two Day Workshop, scheduled for 10/31-11/1 on the East Boulder Campus, will bring together experts from academia, industry and federal labs, data scientists and software programmers interested in helping solve problems, and students wanting to learn about new research frontiers and gain coding skills.
