Bob Draughon

Bob Draughon was born in Winfield, Illinois, and he joined the Army in 2016 as an indirect fire infantryman, also known as a mortarman. He spent 3.5 years training and stationed at Fort Benning GA as a member of 3d Ranger Battalion 75th Ranger Regiment where he did two deployments to Afghanistan and Syria. Following his time instructing both at home and overseas he discovered a passion for education. Following his separation from the Army in late 2019 he took the time to travel the country and plan his next steps. After visiting CU Boulder and falling in love with the Rocky Mountains he decided to enroll as a student at CU class of 2024. He is currently seeking degrees in History and Economics and hopes to become a K-12 educator where he can help guide young people towards achieving their own unique goals.
