Office of Graduate Access and Retention - April 2024 Issue
April showers bring May flowers, and here at the Office of Graduate Access and Retention (GAR), we're eagerly embracing this season of growth and renewal. As we look forward to blossoming ideas and projects, we're thrilled to announce a fresh addition to our team: our new assistant director, Mr. Touri White.
Mr. White joins us with a rich tapestry of experience in fostering diversity and inclusion within academic and community settings as an active advocate for equity and inclusion, serving on several committees and panels that focus on these crucial issues, including the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee at the Rosenstiel School and the Task Force on Racial Justice’s Subcommittee: Community Engagement Action Team. His academic credentials are equally impressive, holding a Master of Science in Coastal Zone Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Psychology from the University of Miami, alongside multiple certifications and endorsements in education.
It's a time of exciting new beginnings, and we're ready to spring into action.
Welcome aboard, Mr. White!
