The New Venture Challenge (NVC) Finals are today! Even if you aren’t pitching, NVC is not something you should miss. Beyond the spectacle of watching teams compete for hundreds of thousands of dollars in prizes, here are five ways NVC can help you land a job!
The People: NVC attendees come from across the CU Boulder and Colorado entrepreneurial community. There are founders, CEOs, investors, entrepreneurs, donors, student leaders and many others in attendance. You never know who you might sit next to or meet during an intermission. You might find someone to collaborate with, a mentor or perhaps even your next boss!
The Teams: Companies pitching for NVC have gone on to great heights during and after the competition. NVC alumni have grown businesses into millions in revenue and have grown their teams significantly after pitching at NVC. In fact, we’ve had many alumni companies hire students at Startups2Students. NVC is a chance to get to know some of the most innovative companies very early in their journeys!
The Ideas: The energy, inspiration, and innovation on display at NVC might just be what it takes to help you launch an idea of your own into a business. The Resources: NVC is one of the highlight events for CU Boulder every year. There will be staff and faculty from amazing CU Boulder programs like the Deming Center for Entrepreneurship, Career Services, Startup Summer, and so much more. The wealth of resources CU Boulder has will be on display and can help you lean into entrepreneurship and/or search for the perfect role for you.
