I have carried out research on biodiversity and ecology in the equatorial high Andes of South America since 1995. My recent projects focus on functional ecology, pollination biology, and phylogeny of tropical alpine (páramo) plants. Other recent works include a study of tropical versus temperate alpine plant ecology and the Ecuador-Colorado pollination project.
