Art, M
usic and Entertainment: Organizations under this category engage in activities centered on art, music and entertainment. Often these organizations are interested in performing and/or holding productions on and off the CU campus.
Business: Organizations under this category focus on expanding their knowledge in various career fields in regards to business or have interest in educating others on business related concepts.
Co
mmunity Service and Volunteerism: Organizations under this category engage in service within their community for a common cause.
Cultural and International: Organizations under this category focus on creating cultural awareness and building connections with students through similar cultural and international identities.
Engineering and Technology: Organizations under this category focus on expanding their knowledge in various career fields in regards to engineering (design & building of engines, machines, and structures) and technology (data science, coding & hacking, cybersecurity, etc.)
Environmental: Organizations under this category connect based on their interest in the environment. Typically RSOs under this category focus on contributing in the preservation of the environment.
Gaming: Organizations under this category engage in games of common interest such as e-sports, table top games, card games, video games, chess, etc.
Government and Politics: Organizations under this category share an interest in government and share a variety of perspectives with others.
Graduate and Professional Studies: Organizations under this category are focused on supporting current graduate students in various fields or prepare undergraduate students who seek to pursue graduate school.
Honor Society: Organizations under this category are typically connected to a larger national organization. Often times these organizations focus on academic excellence, leadership abilities and more.
Humanities: Organizations under this category connect based on their interest in courses they’ve taken such as but not limited to: language, psychology or history.
Law and Law School: Organizations under this category connect based on their interest in law, often times centered on a particular law interest.
Recreation and Wellness: Organizations under this category engage in physical activities of common interest such as dance, sports and more!
Religion and Spirituality: Organizations under this category focus on connecting with students who have a shared interest in religion and/or spirituality. Often times RSOs in this category create opportunities to practice beliefs in a shared space.
Science and Mathematics: Organizations under this category focus on expanding their knowledge in interested career fields in general science (medical, chemistry, biochemistry etc.) and mathematics.
Social: Organizations under this category want to connect with students over a similar social/hobby interest.
Social Justice and Advocacy: Organizations under this category focus on various levels of activism such as but not limited to: bringing awareness to unjust processes, advocating for change or creating opportunities for their members to connect with activists within the community.
Although all our RSOs are required to be open to all students, these RSOs have been identified as affinity groups. Affinity groups are organized around social identity, shared characteristics or life experiences. Affinity groups often involve protected classes, such as, but not limited to, race, sex, gender, sexual orientation, gender identify, gender expression, national origin, religion, disability, veteran status or political affiliation/philosophy. This list will be updated for the current academic year after September 30.
