Here’s an update on IRISS in the time of COVID-19. After shutting down from mid-March to June due to the pandemic, we took our "Return to Research" responsibilities seriously. By dividing lab space and spreading work throughout the team, we managed to keep our students and staff appropriately distanced and also keep on top of our work. Deployments, unfortunately, will have to be put on hold, though we're looking forward to a great 2021 season.
Our student team has done an excellent job of working under safety regulations and maintaining deadlines. We have coordinated hours specific for each member of the team to come in and work and we are making efforts to keep our space clean and organized.
