John Monahan

John Monahan started with the University of Colorado Boulder Police Department on August 1, 2023.  Prior to that he worked for the Mundelein, IL Police Department for 27 years and served in a variety of leadership roles including Patrol Sergeant, Detective Sergeant, Commander, Deputy Chief and Chief of Police.  He holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.  He is also a Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command and Senior Management Institute for Police graduate.
