Dissertation Study Recruitment: Graduate International Students from Southeast Asia
I am a graduate student at Adler University, Chicago. For my dissertation, I have been approved to conduct a study to explore the acculturative stress, psychological distress and attitude towards seeking professional help of graduate international students from Southeast Asia studying in the United States. I have created an online survey for my research and it is anonymous, private, and confidential. No identifying information will be collected.
Participants qualified to complete this survey are those who are currently a graduate level international student from one of these countries; Burma, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Brunei, and the new nation of East Timor (formerly part of Indonesia), enrolled in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) or Non-STEM (fields such as literature, business, arts, and humanities) program in the United States.
The survey takes about 20 minutes to complete.
Please let me know if you have any questions! You may contact me at the info provided below, my dissertation chair, Dr. Peter Ji, pji@adler.edu, or the IRB at irb@adler.edu for questions. If you know of international students that meet these criteria and is interested in taking the survey, I deeply appreciate it if you could forward this to them.
Warmly,
