Maddie Nelson

Madeline is pursuing dual Bachelor’s degrees in speech, language, and hearing sciences, and linguistics. Her academic journey has led to a passion for studying bilingual children's language development. Joining the Child Language Learning lab in 2023 as a research assistant, she aims to merge personal experiences with lab findings and apply them to her future career as a Speech-language pathologist. Her current research project examines the response speed of bilingual children with development language disorder. In her free time, Madeline enjoys photography, reading, and spending time with her dogs.
