Research Interests: My research focuses on the proximate and ultimate (i.e., evolutionary) causes of social behavior and decision-making. Some of my main interests include how the mind regulates punishment and anger, how gratitude and forgiveness function to build and maintain cooperative relationships, and how individual and cultural differences in cooperation arise.
