Hunter Ringenberg is a second year PhD student within the Aerospace Engineering department at CU - Boulder. Hunter came to Colorado after earning his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. During his undergraduate career, he was one of the first students to work in the experimental water tunnel facilities at UNL. It was there that Hunter gained his first research experience through studying the fluid dynamics associated with human vocalization efficiency. As a graduate student, he has turned his focus to experimental aerodynamics and is specifically working with the “cyber-physical” wing system used in the laboratory to simulate and analyze dynamic stall flutter. Depending on the season, Hunter likes spending his free time golfing, skiing or enjoying one of Boulder’s breweries.
