Jaylon Headshot
Graduate Research Assistant
Aerospace Engineering Sciences

Jaylon McGhee is a Ph.D. student within the Ann and H.J. Smead Department of Aerospace Engineering Sciences at the University of Colorado Boulder with a focus in Fluids Mechanics. Before beginning his graduate studies, Jaylon graduated with honors from Auburn University in 2019 with a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering. After graduation, Jaylon interned as a GEM Fellow at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory: Transportation Division studying the aerodynamics of Medium-Duty Vehicles. While at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Jaylon studied the economic & environmental impact of installing aerodynamic devices on Class 4-6 vehicles.

Within the Experimental Aerodynamics Laboratory, Jaylon is a first-year who aspires to apply principles from fluid mechanics to create and enhance novel renewable energy systems.
