Karis Lowe is currently a senior in the Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences program, minoring in Linguistics and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) at the University of Colorado Boulder. She has plans to write an honors thesis during her senior year and will defend her thesis in the Fall of 2024. She plans to graduate in May of 2025. After her undergraduate studies, she plans to attend graduate school and pursue a career as a Speech-Language Pathologist. One of Karis's interests is working with individuals recovering from traumatic brain injuries and strokes that result in motor speech disorders. Another interest of hers is working with those diagnosed with Dementia or Alzheimer's. Outside of the University, she enjoys the outdoors, skiing, gardening, cooking/baking, and quilting.
