K. Ryan Proctor

Dr. K. Ryan Proctor is a research scientist with the United States Air Force Academy. Her research focuses on the integration of the biological and social sciences using a new mechanical approach to science. She earned her doctorate from the University of California, Riverside, in 2010.  She also completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University in 2012. Her work has appeared in the American Journal of Sociology, Social Forces, Sociological Forum, Society, Journal of Criminal Justice, Criminal Justice Review, Sexuality & Culture, Journal of Men’s Studies, AIDS Education and Prevention, American Journal of Physical Anthropology, Journal of Higher Education, and Review of Higher Education. Additionally, she is a co-author of the book Mechanistic Criminology.
