Ph.D. candidate Cary Faulkner successfully passed his comprehensive examination on Thursday, March 17 2022.  He presented his thesis proposal entitled "Advanced Modeling of HVAC Operation for Sustainable and Resilient Office Buildings During the COVID-19 Pandemic" to six committee members, including professors from CU and national laboratory scientists from Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.  The presentation included completed and proposed work to use system modeling to improve building sustainability while maintaining indoor environment quality, highlighting the challenges buildings face during both climate change and a global pandemic.

Congratulations to Cary for advancing to candidacy! We look forward to seeing his continued research progress and eventual dissertation defense!
