It’s hard to believe 2023 is coming to a close! The past year at Colorado Law has been filled with historic achievements, many hours of hard work, hundreds of events, and countless successes from all corners of our community. We are so grateful for the dedication and support of our faculty, staff, alumni, and of course, our amazing students. All we accomplished this past year was made possible through their efforts.

Below are just a few highlights from across the law school:

  • In May, we said goodbye to the Class of 2023, an incredible group of students who completed 9,362 public service hours by graduation. Since graduation, 91% (156/171) of the class of 2023 has reported post-graduate employment, and 89% have reported full-time jobs lasting one year or more that either require bar passage or for which a JD is an advantage.
  • This fall, we proudly welcomed the class of 2026, Colorado Law’s most academically competitive class. Ever. Our 1Ls held a median GPA of 3.81, and a median LSAT score of 164. We can’t wait to see what they achieve over the next few years within the walls of the Wolf Law building and far beyond!
  • Students in our clinical education program worked hard this past year, completing 12,755 hours in clinics. They served 119 clients, with 111 of those clients being individuals and families. Excellent work!
  • Scholarships continued to play a critical role in supporting students throughout their law school journey. Thanks to donor funding, 190 scholarships were provided to students in 2023.
  • Staff, faculty, and students kept busy, hosting 254 events this year!
  • In addition to providing 624 bagels at Legal Grounds, our monthly community breakfasts, our student affairs team supported and trained 53 student organizations
  • This fall, Colorado Law welcomed a record eight new faculty members whose wide-ranging expertise spans constitutional and immigration law, technology law and policy, environmental law, civil rights, gender and the law, and more.

These numbers are just a small illustration of student, faculty, and staff triumphs throughout the year. As we bid farewell to 2023, we look to the new year as an opportunity to further our commitment to providing students with a state-of-the-art legal education while serving as a catalyst for meaningful public service.
