This is a general timeline for those taking the July bar exam. For those taking the February bar exam, all of these tasks should be completed a semester earlier.
Time Task
- Summer after 2L year (some deadlines are as early as a year before the exam)
| - Review the application requirements for the state in which you plan to practice

- 2L or 3L year, after taking Ethics and Professionalism class

- Late fall semester of 3L year
| - Review the application for admission to practice law to determine what information you will need
|
- Spring semester of 3L year
| - Submit a complete application for admission to practice law in the state of your choosing
|
- Spring semester of 3L year
| - Work with a Financial Aid Counselor to include the cost of the bar exam in cost of attendance
|
- Spring semester of 3L year or the summer after graduation
