Mac Printing
Stage 1: Download & Install Printer Drivers (OSX 10.8 Mountain Lion - 10.10 Yosemite)
1. Download each printer driver via these links:
Xerox 5550 (2nd Lobby BW Square)
Xerox 5335 (1st & 2nd BW Star)
Xerox 7835 (Basement Color Circle)
2. Launch the downloaded driver to install.
3. Select Continue at the Welcome to the Xerox Printer Installer dialog box:
4. Select Continue at the Software License Agreement box:
5. Select Agree to the license agreement:
6. Select Install:
7. Input the password for your Mac and select Install Software (use your Mac's userID):
8. Select Continue and do not add any selected printers here:
9. Select Continue at the Print Queue Not Created warning box:
10. Select Close at the Successful Installation box:
11. Complete the Stage 1 steps for each of the other printer drivers that you downloaded above.
Stage 2: Install Pharos Student Printing Management Software
1. Download the Pharos Software.
2. Open the file you downloaded to launch the installation.
3. Select Continue at the Welcome box:
4. Select Continue at the Important Information box:
5. Select Install:
6. Select Close at the Successfull Installation box:
Stage 3: Configuring the Printers with Pharos
1. Click the Apple button at the top left-hand corner of your screen and select System Preferences:
2. Select Printers & Scanners:
3. Select the "+" symbol to add a new printer:
4. In the grey area to the right of the Windows printer icon, simultaneously press the control key on your keyboard and the mouse button the bring up the menu shown below. Select Customize Toolbar:
5. Add the Advanced icon to your actual toolbar by dragging it up from the menu of available icons to the toolbar.
6. Select the Advanced Icon. Under Type, select Pharos Print Server.
7. Under URL: Copy and Paste the appropriate single "popup" link - only one - (below) for the printer you are installing. Copy and Paste the name and location too. Then, Select Use and Select Software.

8. Use the filter to locate the appropriate printer driver: 5550N or 5335 or 7835. Select OK.
9. For the Xerox Phaser 5550 only: Under the feature set menu that appears, select DN from the dropdown menu. Select OK.
10. Repeat the Stage 3 steps for each additional printer you need to install.
