The University of Colorado Law School is thrilled to announce that Phil Weiser, the state's 39th Attorney General, will be the speaker for the Class of 2023 graduation recognition ceremony. The ceremony will take place on Friday, May 12, 2023, at Macky Auditorium in Boulder, Colorado.

Faculty whose expertise includes constitutional and immigration law, environmental law, technology law and policy, civil rights, and gender and the law will join the University of Colorado Law School this August.

Verna Williams, the CEO of Equal Justice Works and former dean of the University of Cincinnati College of Law, will join the Colorado Law community on April 4, 2023 to deliver the 65th annual John R. Coen Lecture. The lecture, co-sponsored by Equal Justice Works, is titled, “Let’s Talk About Race”.

It is with heavy hearts that we share news of the passing of Judge Kristy Martinez, who served as the first full-time director of the University of Colorado Law School’s Korey Wise Innocence Project and then on the Boulder County Court following her appointment by then-Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper in 2019. Judge Martinez passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2023.
