My advice to students...

I have been working in my profession for close to 50 years.  I never pictured how that time would unfold; or rather, I would never have been able to do imagine it.  I have had the benefit of having done some of the most menial & lowliest jobs, to what some might consider, more fortunate circumstances. Being open to the turns that life takes -- professional and otherwise -- and paying attention to what it offers and teaches, has created space for unexpected benefit in my life.  And hopefully, it has been at least some benefit to others.  (I generally don't make a habit of giving advice).
