Consultant in Leadership, Strategy, and Government Relations

Gordon has broad leadership experience in government, business and the military. Today he lectures in leadership and strategy courses at the University of Colorado and has a consulting practice in leadership, strategy, and government relations. In 2015 he received the university’s Marinus Smith Teaching Award for his positive impact on undergraduate students. He is a member of the Chancellor’s Advisory Board for the university’s new Center for Leadership. Riggle also served three terms as a member of the Boulder City Council.

Throughout the 1990s Gordon did strategic planning and advanced business development with Ball Aerospace and Technologies Corp., first in Washington D.C. and later in their Boulder headquarters

Prior to moving to Boulder, Riggle served in the White House as Deputy Assistant to the President of the United States and Director of the Office of Administration. Before that appointment, he worked as a Professional Staff Member of the United States Senate. He also served on the President’s transition team as Special Assistant to the Secretary of Defense.

During his military service, Riggle was a Captain in the United States Navy, commanding the destroyer USS KINKAID in the Pacific and a patrol boat in Vietnam.

His education includes a Master in Public Administration degree from Harvard University, the Program for Senior Executives at the Sloan School of Management, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Lafayette College.
