Jody was elected by a county-wide vote in 2020 as Larimer County Commissioner representing District 3, the southern portion of the County. Jody Shadduck-McNally is the first woman to serve in the District 3 seat. She serves the entire county as Commissioner. She was elected to serve as Chair Pro Tem for 2022.

Jody is serving on the National Association of Counties Environment Energy Land Use Steering Committee and was appointed by Governor Polis to the State Colorado Forest Health Council, serving as Chair of the Legislative Subcommittee

Worked as one of the leads on the team that advocated for the successful passage by LC voters for Larimer County Behavioral Health Initiative in 2018, serves as Vice Chair of the BH Policy Council
