Partner at Insight Designs

I worked as a newspaper photojournalist for the first decade of my working career. I started as an intern at the Boulder Daily Camera while still attending the University of Colorado and I eventually worked my way up to being a staff photographer at the Detroit Free Press. I then started Insight Designs, a web and app development company in 1999 with my business partner, Beth Krodel. We are now a 20-person company and we have clients around the world.

My advice to students...

Follow your heart - don't follow the path your parents set in front of you, or the road you think will lead to a more lucrative career; you've got to do something you're passionate about and that will make you want to wake up every morning and go to work. If you combine your personal passion with a little entrepreneurial spirit, the money will come.
