Expertise in Community Activities, General Business, Technology, Entrepreneurship and Non-profits

Words that describe me: approachable, diverse, open minded, resourceful and dependable

Boulder native and well-traveled. First career was in the broadcasting industry. Returned to school in my mid-thirties to get an MBA and wound up in a new field called Project and Program Management. Embraced a new software development methodology we would soon call Agile with Scrum as a way to deliver the software. A Scrum Master is a servant leader who leads from the back of the room. I understand and can navigate corporate boardrooms well but am an entrepreneur at heart. I own and manage an auction business that I started 20 years ago. We conduct annual fundraising events for a number of non-profits in Colorado. I volunteer my services at the National Western Stock Show and sit on the Citizen of the West Steering Committee. When not working I can be found at the gym or with my bike club on a road bike.

My advice to students...

I don’t have a broad brushstroke of advice appropriate for everyone. I find that each of us has unique needs and sees the world through our own windshield. I like to get to know the people I am working with and understand their needs and views. Most people at CU pursuing a college education are already a leader in some way. Our combined goal is to help them connect dots, discover new things, and take their leadership skills to the next level. My reason for being here is to help inspired young people become extraordinary leaders.
