Teaching notes and papers belonging to Thomas Riha

Are you a True Crime junkie? Did you know that CU has its own unsolved mystery in its history? Thomas Riha, a Russian History professor at CU disappeared from his home In March of 1969, and has never been found. The mystery involves Riha's divorce from his wife of four months, and not only the disappearance of Riha, but also two murders and a suicide. All of these events leads back to a mysterious “Colonel” character, who seems to be the link in this unsolved crime—though there are some who believe Riha to be alive and living in Russia. You can learn more by reading the Academe story on Riha, or the History Colorado information on the suspected "Colonel."
