Students of the 2018 computer literacy class with librarian translators.

Genna Mcgahee, Training and Development Coordinator and Computer Literacy Program Administrator, Infrastructure & Sustainablity, sent out a call for Spanish and Lau speakers to translate computer literacy classes to custodial/front line employees at CU Boulder, beginning April 27 through June 1, 2018. Classes were offered Fridays in the morning and afternoon and were an hour long. Classes catered to adult learners, and involved learning basic skills such as computer terminology, typing skills, online searching, using email, and essential Microsoft applications such as Word. With the two classes combined, there were a total of about 15 front line staff enrolled.

Bronwen Maxson, Romance Languages Librarian, and Sol Lopez, Media Cataloging Coordinator, both at Norlin Library, served as Spanish translators during this period.
