First-Year Students Pre-COVID
First-Year students are required to live on campus at CU Boulder for their first two semesters (summers do not count towards this requirement). This is to better support first-year students through their transition into college life. We offer a multitude of options and amenities for residents that satisfy all types of needs that support your overall college experiences.
Our campus spans two miles and has three housing neighborhoods that we call Central, Kittredge and Williams Village. In all we have 24 residence halls of various sizes that range from about 200 – 730 per building with 98% of our population being first-year students. We recommend reviewing the available options before submitting a housing application; don’t be afraid to contact Student Housing (303)492-6673 (M-F 8 - 4:30 p.m. MST) as we may be able to assist you in narrowing your preferences to those that are best for you.
