Special Group Move-in

Pre-arrival Programs 

  • If you have been accepted into a Pre-Arrival Program, you will move in on Friday, Aug. 15.
  • You must self-select your own move-in time through your MyCULiving portal.
  • If you are a student in a Pre-Arrival Program, but are not able to view appointments on Aug. 15, please email reslife@colorado.edu.
  • If you are an LLC student that wishes to move in on a later date, please email reslife@colorado.edu.
  • Pre-Arrival Program students are eligible to participate in Drop Off Days. Drop Off Days can be self-selected through your MyCULiving portal. 

International Students 

  • In order to attend international student Orientation on Aug. 17, international students will be able to self-select a move-in time on Saturday, Aug. 16 through your MyCULiving portal.
  • You must self-select your own move-in time through your MyCULiving portal.
  • If you are an international student but are unable to view appointments on Aug. 16, please email reslife@colorado.edu.
  • If you are an international student that wishes to move in on a later date, please email reslife@colorado.edu.
  • International students are eligible to participate in Drop Off Days
  • Note: Domestic students living abroad are eligible for international student early arrival.

Golden Buffalo Marching Band 

  • Members of the Marching Band will move-in on Friday, Aug. 15 and will check in at their respective residence hall.
  • You must self-select your own move-in time through the MyCULiving portal.
  • Band staff have provided us with a lsit of Marching Band students. When logging in to the MyCULiving portal, Marching Band students should only be able to view options for Friday, Aug. 15 and for Drop Off Days.
  • If you are a band student that is unable to view Aug. 15 as an option, please email reslife@colorado.edu.
  • If you are a band student that wishes to move in on a later date, please contact band staff to discuss options.
  • Band students are eligible to participate in Drop Off Days.

Journey Leaders 

  • Because of the role that they play during Fall Welcome, Journey Leaders with residence hall assignments will move in on Wednesday, July 14 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. All Journey Leaders will check-in at Weber Hall. Additional details will be provided by your supervisor.
  • Journey Leaders with housing assignments in Bear Creek will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis to determine if early move-in is feasible.
  • Residence Life staff will assign your move-in appointment time for you. Journey Leaders do not need to self-select an appointment.
  • Journey Leaders are not eligible to participate in Drop Off Days.

Residence Life Student Leaders 

  • Resident Advisers (RA’s), Community Assistants (CA’s), Peer Mentors and RHA/NRHH Board members will self-select a move-in appointment for Wednesday, Aug. 6.
  • Residence Life student leader check-in will occur at a central location. Additional information will be provided by your supervisor.
  • If you are a Residence Life student leader, but are unable to view appointments on Aug. 6, please email reslife@colorado.edu.
  • Residence Life student leaders are not eligible to participate in Drop Off Days. 

CU Bound

  • CU Bound participants move in on Sunday, Aug. 18, and will check in at their residence hall.
  • CU Bound participants will be able to unload all items directly into your room.
  • Bound participants must self-select their own move-in appointment time and are able to participate in Drop Off Days if they wish.
  • If you are a Bound student that is unable to view Aug. 18 as an option, please email reslife@colorado.edu.
  • If you are selected to participate in Bound, but your plans change, please call Outdoor Pursuits at 303-492-6080.

CU In the Rockies

  • CU in the Rockies participants must self-select a Drop Off Days appointment for the morning of Thursday, Aug. 15. There is a $20 non-refundable fee for participating.
  • During your Drop Off appointment, you will be able to unload all personal items directly into your room.
  • Rockies participants must also self-select a move-in appointment for Thursday, Aug. 22. You will check-in to your hall on Aug. 22 once you return to campus.
  • If you are a Rockies participant who is unable to view Aug. 15 or 22 as an option, please email reslife@colorado.edu.
  • If you are selected to participate in Rockies, but your plans change, please call Outdoor Pursuits at 303-492-6080.

CU MountainFest

  • CU MountainFest participants must self-select a Drop Off Days appointment for the morning of Thursday, Aug 15. There is a non-refundable $20 for participating.
  • During your Drop Off Appointment, you will be able to unload all personal items directly into your room.
  • MountainFest participants must also self-select a move-in appointment for Sunday, Aug 18. You will check-in to your hall on Aug. 18 ^^ before launching into your second pre-arrival program.  
  • If you are a MountainFest student who is unable to view Aug. 15 or 18 as an option, please email reslife@colorado.edu.
  • If you are selected to participate in MountainFest, but your plans change, please call Outdoor Pursuits at 303-492-6080.

Living Learning Communities

  • All students assigned to the Hallett Living Learning Communities, Healthy Buffs LLC, and Service & Social Action LLC will participate in a pre-arrival program connected to their community, and will move in on Friday, Aug 15.
  • You must self-select your own move-in time through your MyCuLiving portal.
  • If you are a student in one of the identified LLC’s, but are unable to see appointments on Aug. 15, please email reslife@colorado.edu.
  • If you are an LLC student that wishes to move in on a later date, please email reslife@colorado.edu.
  • LLC students are eligible to participate in Drop Off Days. Drop off Days can be self-selected through your MyCULiving portal.
