Program Details
- Through the Native and Indigenous Peoples LLC, students will find a supportive, social and communal space.
- Students will have intentional exposure to Native and Indigenous cultures and histories through a variety of engagement opportunities both on campus and in the community.
- Students will gain a place-based/land-based perspective of the history and contributions of Native and Indigenous people/communities within the context of the Americas as well as their impact on a greater diverse world.
- Students will have the opportunity to gain skills and experience in Indigenous and other restorative practices for moving through conflict.
- Students will have the opportunity to gain skills engaging in cross cultural dialogue around the student experience, campus climate and retention at the University of Colorado.
- Students will make community and personal connections with Native and Indigenous staff and faculty and have access to mentorship/eldering within the campus community.
- The Center for Inclusion and Social Change and other campus offices provide support for the community.
- Peer mentors and a resident advisor are available on the floor to further support community dialogue.
