The Program for Excellence in Academics and Community (PEAC) is an amazing and challenging academic and community-building experience offered each summer by the Miramontes Arts and Sciences Program (MASP) for students entering the College of Arts and Sciences at CU Boulder. This three-week-long academic residential program prepares students for their university career through challenging and engaging courses along with a wide variety of fun community-building activities.

3 Steps to Apply to PEAC

Applicant Information

  • Applicants must have been accepted by the University of Colorado Boulder to be eligible for consideration; students are encouraged to apply to PEAC even if they have not received an admission decision or have not made their final decision about attending CU Boulder. In order to ensure full consideration, completed applications for the current entering class must be received by the deadline. If accepted into PEAC, students must be attending CU Boulder in the Fall in order to participate in PEAC.

Program Costs

  • Students accepted to PEAC participate free of charge. PEAC covers the cost of instruction, room and board, and a number of fun community building activities. Students who successfully complete the PEAC program receive a $1,000 stipend and become eligible for MASP and its related participation scholarship of $2,000 per academic year.
