Update 6.29.22: Please see additional Financial Aid Loan guidance on the FAQ page.

If you are seeking federal financial aid, you must submit the 2022/2023 academic year FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Completing the FAFSA as soon as possible may increase your chances of receiving the most financial aid possible - as some funds are first-come, first-serve. Information on loans, other sources of financial aid, and assistance in navigating the application process can be found at CU’s Office of Financial Aid.

Additional Funding

You may apply for CU Boulder regional grants and awards through the Graduate School after researching their Funding Website

CU also offers a need-based financial aid Work-Study Program for students seeking part-time employment opportunities. Work-study jobs are funded by federal and state governments and include both on and off-campus positions. Determination of eligibility is driven by the submission of your FAFSA.

Some MENV students choose to work part-time, either on-campus or off-campus, during the program. The CU Student Employment website lists various job postings for on-campus employment opportunities.  In addition, MENV also supports a handful of student assistants beginning in the fall semester. MENV student assistants are typically compensated at ~$17/hour for an average of 10-15 hours/week. More information regarding MENV employment opportunities will be provided over the summer. Remember, MENV is a full-time, in-residence program, and part-time work may be challenging for some to balance with the intensity of the program. Similarly, full-time work is infeasible given the rigorous demands of the program.
