Fall 2022 course registration 

(New Students will begin the MENV program during the fall semester, NOT Augmester)

Beginning April 25, you can register for your three required fall 2022 semester courses:
ENVM 5034 Leadership & Ethics
ENVM 5002 Analyzing Socio-Environmental Systems
ENVM 6001 Capstone Innovation Lab 1
You’ll choose the section that works best in your schedule. All MENV students must take these courses, so do not worry about these particular classes completely filling up as you will be able to enroll in at least one of the sections. In addition, MENV students also have priority for our specialization courses. 

In addition to these required courses, your Specialization Leads have also provided their suggestions for fall 2022 specialization courses as well as the recommended number of total semester credit hours (see below). You can find all of the following course details using the CU Boulder Course Search tool.

Environmental & Natural Resources Policy
Recommended 13 credits:

  • ENVS 5701: Politics, Policy, and Management: Foundations
  • MENV/University Elective

Renewable & Sustainable Energy
Recommended 13 credits:

  • ENVM 5007: Energy Systems and Technology
  • ENVM 5006: Energy Policy in the 21st Century

Sustainability in the Outdoor Industry
Recommended 13 credits:

  • ENVM 5064: Introduction to the Outdoor Recreation Economy (currently listed as ENVM 6100 - 009)
  • ENVM 5065: Community Economic Development in the Outdoor Recreation Economy (currently listed as ENVM 6100 - 024)

Sustainable Food Systems
Recommended 13 credits:

  • ENVM 5038: Introduction to Food Systems
  • 3-credit sequence:
    • ENVM 5043: Benefit Cost Analysis (1 credit)
    • ENVM 5044: Life Cycle Assessment (1 credit)
    • ENVM 5045: Introduction to Monitoring & Evaluation (1 credit)

Urban Resilience & Sustainability
Recommended 13 credits:

  • 1 URS specialization course and 1 MENV/University elective; OR
  • 2 URS specialization courses
