Scott Donnel

Scott Donnel has over 25 years of supply chain & manufacturing experience across the food sector.  He has held senior leadership roles for food industry giants, such as: Maple Leaf Foods, Inc. (a $6 billion consumer packaged foods company); James Skinner Baking Company (an independently owned $100 million artisan sweet goods bakery); Barth-Haas Group (worlds largest hops processor to the brewing industry); Perdue Farms, Inc. (a leading poultry processor); ConAgra Foods, Inc. ($20 billion consumer packaged foods company); and IBP, Inc., ($16 billion beef & pork company). More recently, Donnel turned his focus toward Boulder’s natural foods sector, serving as the Vice President for External Manufacturing at Boulder Brands (managing over 50 contract manufacturing partners producing products generating $300 million in revenue), COO/VP of Operations at Perky Jerky, LLC (a “next-gen” meat snack company), and COO of Cali'flour Foods, a Cauliflower based food company. In connection with these roles, Donnel has developed a strong background in Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, project leadership, employee and organizational development, and design/modernization of supply chains. His experience at the nexus of supply management and operations gives him a unique vantage point in a rapidly changing industry and enables him to bring real cases and experience working with clients in Boulder’s natural foods sector to the classroom. Donnel holds a BS in Business Administration & Management from the University of Northern Colorado.
