Join us at the Boulder Theater to see who will win the 17th annual New Venture Challenge (NVC). CU Boulder’s top student, faculty and staff startups will pitch their ideas to a panel of esteemed judges and you, a live audience. Come support the next big CU Boulder innovations as we award $165,000 in funding!

Finalists

Affix Communities, Jamie Saunders (Leeds School of Business), Benjamin Asser (Law School), Daniel Collins (Leeds School of Business): Powered by prefabrication and a creative approach to zoning code, Affix is pioneering a new type of real estate investment designed for desirable vacation destinations. 

BioSensor Solutions, Carl Kalin and David Beitz (Venture Partners at CU Boulder): BioSensor Solutions provides an organic 2D printed low-cost sensor technology that measures the microbial activity in the soil. Data and insights from these sensors will help growers increase yields and save resources. 

Foodwise, Emma Bonerb (Leeds School of Business), Hashirr Lukmahn, (College of Engineering and Applied Science), Byron Patten (Leeds School of Business), Jennifer Bundrant, (Leeds School of Business, '23): Minimize waste and maximize sales. A software platform that helps restaurants predict food demand in real-time through factors like weather, historical sales, and other external factors. Our mission is to help restaurants save money while simultaneously reducing waste, ultimately enhancing their profitability and sustainability.

PricingService.ai, Dan Zhang (Leeds School of Business), David Li (City University of Hong Kong), Matt Schwartz (Sage Hospitality): We increase hotel revenue by providing AI-powered, dynamic pricing to hotels as a subscription service. Read More

Refr Sports, Huck Sorock (College of Media, Communications and Information, '23): At Refr Sports, our vision is to transform the referee industry. We are an end-to-end referee management platform that empowers refs to find games in their area, choose games that work for them and get paid promptly. Think Uber for referees.

Who: This event is open to everyone and is free with registration. The Boulder Theater bar will be open for those over 21.
