Effective immediately infoED users will begin to see new tags on some budget related attachments. The purpose of these new naming conventions it to clearly differentiate between the internal estimation tool (used to help PIs and departments build a proposal budget) and the actual proposal budget of record submitted to the sponsor.

The following tags are now in use:

_ESTTOOL - This tag is for the internal estimation tool saved as an Excel file in infoED. Replaces the _FINBUDGET tag.

_PROPBUDGET - This tag is for the proposal budget of record when it is saved as a separate document. For example, when a sponsor form cannot be easily saved as part of the proposal document (i.e., DARPA) or when a revised budget is submitted separate from other proposal documents. In most cases, the proposed budget of record is saved as part of the proposal document. Replaces _SFB tag.

_BJUST - As a reminder, this tag is used for budget justifications that are housed as separate documents in infoED.

If you have questions about attachments in infoED, please contact your Proposal Analyst, Grant Officer or Contract Officer for assistance.
