Currently a Community Engagement Specialist at UCAR/CPAESS (8/2023) ~~~ Brief Bio: Alison joined the Oceans and Climate Lab in Fall of 2022. She holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental Sociology and B.A. in Sociology and Political Science from Colorado State University. She is currently pursuing a B.A. in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (ATOC) at CU Boulder and works as Database Lead with the Navigating the New Arctic Community Office within NSIDC / CIRES. Alison’s independent study project focuses on sea-level rise and storm projections in the US and how socioeconomic factors affect community adaptability to climate change.
