Currently a Senior Research Fellow at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (1/2021) ~~~ Brief Bio: Dr. Dhrubajyoti (Dhruba) Samanta joins the Oceans and Climate Lab at CU Boulder as a Visiting Researcher during the Fall of 2017 and 2018. Dhruba is a Research Fellow based at the Asian School of the Environment (ASE) and affiliated with the Earth Observatory Singapore (EOS) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore, mentored jointly by Profs. Nathalie Goodkin (NTU) and Kris Karnauskas (CU Boulder). Dhruba's recent work focuses on the physical climate systems of the western Pacific and the South China Sea including the relevant monsoon systems and climate oscillations of the region. Earlier, Dhrubajyoti worked at the University of Aizu and Texas A&M University at Qatar. Dhrubajyoti received his Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
