Our year in review: 2023-2024

The 2023-2024 academic year was full of significant moments and fun memories for Buffs and Buff families. Check out photos and highlights from the past year, including Fall Welcome, Family Weekend and more.

Move-in and Fall Welcome 2023

CU Boulder welcomed more than 8,000 students to campus over five days of move-in. Fall Welcome events like Neighborhood Block Parties, the Be Involved Fair and WelcomeFest helped kick off the academic year. These events allow students to meet new people, get familiar with campus and have fun during their first few weeks at CU.

Football gamedays

The 2023 football season was bigger than ever! Gamedays offered students a chance to show school spirit, see Ralphie run, cheer on the Buffs and participate in traditions.

Family Weekend 2023

Family Weekend took place Oct. 12-15, 2023. In addition to visiting their student, families participated in educational sessions, the Pearl Street Stampede and our family tailgate before the CU Buffs played against Stanford at Folsom Field.

Late Night Breakfast

This event occurs each semester on the last day of classes. Students can fuel up and prepare for final exams with a free meal and a chance to connect with fellow Buffs.

Alienware Buffalo Esports and Gaming Lounge grand opening

The Alienware Buffalo Esports and Gaming Lounge opened on Jan. 25, 2024, in the University Memorial Center. It provides a place for students to try new things, meet others with similar interests and find community in an inclusive space.

Family Day

Feb 24, 2024, was Family Day at CU Boulder. This annual event is an opportunity for families to visit their student, learn about campus resources and cheer on the CU Buffs basketball team.

Campus life

Throughout the year, there are hundreds of opportunities for students to get involved, meet fellow Buffs, try new things and take a break from their studies. Memorable events this year include goat yoga, a ninja warrior course, cooking classes and more!
