Armenian Rice Pilaf

Ingredients
- 1 cup long grain white rice (unbleached), alternative is Arborio
- 2 cups of unsalted/low salt Chicken/Vegetable stock
- Large handful of Manischewitz (or equivalent) fine egg noodles
- Pepper/salt to taste
Directions
- Place egg noodles into toaster oven at 325F for 3-5 minutes, until toasty brown. Alternative is to place noodles in pot and brown with unsalted butter or a few teaspoons of Avocado/Algae oil
- Once noodles are brown, place into 2 qt (min) pot
- Add stick and bring to boil
- Add rice and leave at boil for 1 minute
- Cover with paper towel and place lid on pot
- Lower to simmer for 15 minutes and turn off
- Move pot to separate burner for 5 minutes
- Open and salt/pepper to taste
- As a side, add shelled pinon or pine nuts.
