Beth Johnston

Beth Johnston is a research-based artist working across photography, video, and installation. With a background in science and psychology, her work explores the intersections of ecology, cultural imaginations, and knowledge systems: how we think about the natural world directly influences our perception and relationship to it. Her current research interests include climate science, political ecology, social practice, and place-based pedagogies and epistemologies. Beth holds a BA in Psychology and Physical Sciences from Wake Forest University and an MFA in Photography from Rhode Island School of Design.
