Fall 2014 PACS graduate Alexandra Sarazen

Fall, 2014 PACS graduate Alexandra Sarazen writes:

"I'm currently in a Master's Program at NTNU [Norwegian University of Science and Technology] in Trondheim, Norway (about 6 hours north of Oslo) working on a [Master's degree] in Development Policy Studies and Human Geography ([with a] major focus on international Human Rights Law). I'll be submitting a thesis proposal in December (still working out the topic) and doing field work in Nepal and northern India, researching for about a year.

I also just got a job at the Trondheim Kommune, the local government's refugee resettlement agency. I will primarily be an English teacher for refugees relocating here from Somalia and Syria. A secondary role of mine is to manage their cases to ensure they're feeling welcome, comfortable and able to integrate. I don't think I would be here if it weren't for you as educators, your encouragement as mentors, and your role in the PACS department. I think of you often."
