Julian received his B.S. (BioPhysics with a minor in Chemistry) from the University of Washington - Seattle in 2015. While at UW he worked with the Physics Education Group studying student understanding of (and developing Tutorials in) elementary electrostatics. After graduating he spent a year teaching AP Physics at Punahou School in Hawai'i before joining the PER group here at CU. His current research focuses on student sense-making in Quantum Mechanics; other research interests include the formal and informal use of Physics by non-physicists.
