Professor Matthias Steup has won a Graduate School 2021-2022 Outstanding Faculty Mentor Award. Department Chair David Boonin says "It was truly humbling to read the student testimonials we received for his nomination file and made even more impressive by the fact that he established such a strong record as a graduate student advisor and mentor here while at the same time taking on the exceptionally difficult task of joining a new department as its department chair.
