Areas of Interest: Bioethics, Social and Political Philosophy, African Philosophy

My primary interests lie at the intersection between bioethics and social and political philosophy, particularly on topics relating to the ethics of compulsory cadaveric organ conscription as a means of addressing the wide global organ demand and supply gap (an ongoing paper), the reproductive rights of women in the context of abortion and surrogacy, and the ethics of 21st century reproductive technologies such as gene editing, IVF and ectogenesis.

In African philosophy, I am interested in exploring academic African philosophy outside of the construct of the West, addressing intersectionality in African feminism and analyzing the contemporary relevance of Pan-Africanism.

My interests are motivated by my lived experiences and the world around me, which made me critically engage ethical questions about bioethical issues that I witnessed firsthand. In addition, having been schooled in African philosophy, I discovered that academic African philosophy is grossly underrepresented. Hence my quest to explore its global significance.
