Joshua Ferguson is a Police Commander at the University of Colorado Boulder. He is a public safety expert and university police leader. During his CU Boulder tenure, he has implemented highly innovative and collaborative public safety initiatives, drawing upon his extensive public safety and emergency management experience.
Ferguson worked his way to the rank of police commander from CUPD academy cadet. Prior to his current position, Ferguson worked for a northern Colorado Sheriff’s office as a corrections officer, gaining extensive experience while serving in diverse specialized and supervisory capacities. He obtained numerous instructor certifications and has commanded numerous critical incidents. He holds a bachelor's degree in criminal justice.
